Enjoying all the podcasts, but any updates on the tease in your first email from the TMR relaunch?
"... subscribers will, later today, receive the first TMR newsletter. It contains an essay on the proliferation of politicized junk history, one that accuses a best-selling writer (and former TFC guest) of massaging and misattributing quotes, and ends with recommendations that will make you a smarter, funnier, and inevitably more annoying dinner-party guest."

Just finished reading Downtown. Got a copy on Abe books for 50 bucks from Germany. Such a fun read. Thank you for great recommendation and the fantastic interview.
Loved this interview. I was one of those far off VV subscriber who was waiting to move to NYC, and I read Musto every week. Hadn’t thought of him in years but enjoyed every minute of this.

"Fag-ets!" I die. ❤️
Loved Musto's early work. Still think forced outing is unethical and a violation of personal boundaries. It was mean-spirited.
